About Young Maroons
The Young Maroons cricket programme is much more than cricket development.
Our programme teaches your child life skills that they will use every day. Children learn to work in a team, but they also learn to be individuals. Cricket is like life: the team has goals, and each player also has personal goals.
Young Maroons lets your child dream. We help each child set goals and we teach the hard work that is necessary to reach them.
Children will have disappointments and failures, as they do in life. These are good moments to learn. Our coaches teach children to overcome setbacks in a safe environment and to use each experience to improve.
The academy uses cricket to teach children how to work with others, how to communicate well and how to think strategically.
Teamwork
Children learn to work with others and to support their team-mates.
Personal goals
Each child sets goals and works hard to reach them, step by step.
Resilience
Children learn to manage disappointment and to try again.
